Sonoma County Search and Rescue is a non-profit organization that is staffed by professionally trained search and rescue volunteers. Their time is donated, some of their uniform is provided, but other equipment is self funded.  However, there is additional equipment necessary to implement an effective and safe search and/or rescue. Recent disasters have further extended our team.  New technology and equipment will help our team complete their mission.  Your tax deductible donation can help this team maintain their equipment, purchase additional equipment for the expanding team, add transport vehicles, or pay for additional trainings. An example of some of the needed equipment and cost:

external battery packs - 10 ~$50/each x 10 = $500
Truck Shell ~$2000
Truck pull out drawers ~ $600
Truck tool boxes x 2 ~$150 x 2 = $300
Roof ladder rack ~$200
PPE for COVID or fire response

We deeply appreciate any assistance from the community we serve. Special Thanks to those who keep our SAR team in mind. The rewards are shared by those who participate through donations or efforts to bring loved ones safely home.  We are grateful for those who can see our efforts in spite of our low profile.
